Hi again everyone!! I have been working like crazy, so I missed Paint Party Friday last week and now I'm late for this week's! I'm going back down to part time next week so hopefully that will give me more time to create some art. I have a new painting idea and I've been really excited to start it.
Anyway, for this week's PPF, I decided to do a quick watercolor painting of Marilyn Monroe. I used purple and blue and decided to do it a little differently than most of my others. I wanted to use the white for her face instead of the usual white negative space in the background. What do you think??
Can't wait to see what everyone else created this week!!!
This is awesome, actually! Thanks for stopping by my blog with encouraging words! (Also love your "outfit post")!
ReplyDeleteMarilyn always was my favorite. I've painted her in the past. Yours is awesome.
ReplyDeleteLove your watercolour of Marilyn, Julie. Happy PPF, Annette x

Hi Julie,
ReplyDeleteI think painting her face with the white puts more focus on her eyes , nose and mouth, giving her more of a soft look, the look I relate to MM. Love her this way.
Hope you get more of a deprive from work and ore time to paint. You paint just beautifully; can't stop!
