OUTFIT: Tribal maxi dress

I forgot to mention earlier this week that my husband's first day in his new position at work was on Monday!  So far he is really enjoying it.  I'm so incredibly proud of him, and so happy that he is not working in such a dangerous environment anymore!

Yesterday when he got out of work he wanted to go out and celebrate, so we went to Texas Roadhouse for $1.99 Margarita night.  Yummm!  I wanted to look nice for him, but also be really comfortable so I grabbed this tribal maxi out of my closet.  I would live in maxi dresses/skirts if I could!  I love them!

As a random side note, I had a really cute skinny mint belt to go with this but I broke it while putting it on!  What the heck?!  Don't you hate that!  Boo!  I also have a really cute mint purse that I wore with it.... but for some reason didn't include in the pictures....blogger fail!  Oh well...

Do you love maxis as much as I do?!

  4. Yes! You have just confirmed that I need to invest in maxi dresses this summer. I love how they look dressed up and chic, but they're so comfortable and effortless. I had the perfect skinny belt and then my dog chewed it. Arrggghhh!! I think it's the only thing she's actually chewed and destroyed ever that wasn't one of her toys. So glad your husband is enjoying his new job so far!!

  7. You and your husband do such a great job of getting out on date nights. And you always pick the perfect dressy-but-not-too-much outfits for your dates.

  20. The only thing that he isn't liking about the job is that it's an hour drive....and they make him take an hour lunch. So basically he's gone for 11 hours a day. That part makes him a little cranky but at least he's much safer at this job. And YES, I could wear maxis every day if I had enough of them lol

  22. Thank Gina! We try to keep up with the date nights. Sometimes it gets tough because it's hard to find someone to watch our 2 year old, but we think it's really important to remember to be a couple too.

  25. haha I definitely recommend maxi dresses and skirts. They are so perfect for when it's still a little too chilly for shorts. That's pretty good if that all your dog has chewed! My friend has a Basenji and it chews EVERYTHING! lol! She has to hide her expensive bags and shoes because she got to one once. lol
