Love // Hate // Tag

Claire from Fashion and Feathers nominated me for this fun challenge.  Here’s the rules:  the person “tagged” must share 10 things they love, 10 things they hate, and then they can nominate up to 10 other bloggers to do the same! It’s a great way to get to know others!

1.  Laying out in the sun.  I still haven't gotten to do this yet, this summer because it keeps raining so much.  It's so calming laying there with the sun hitting you....and even better when you can jump in a pool for a while too.

2.  Food!  I eat all day long, it's crazy!  I have a really high metabolism so I constantly have to eat or I start to feel pretty crappy.  If I ever had to go on a special diet I would be in so much trouble.  I don't think I could do it.

3.  Date nights.  We don't get them too often but when we do, it's AMAZING!  We don't get to do much but it's nice to be able to sit and hold a conversation without being interrupted every few seconds by our daughter.  That being said....

4.  Being a stay at home mom.  I NEVER thought I would say that one.  I struggled with wanting to go back to work for the longest time, but now I'm loving being home with our daughter all day.  One day I will go back to work but for now I will enjoy all these little moments.

5.  The beach.  It's my favorite place in the whole world.  I don't know what it is about it but has a way of taking all of my stress away.  Burying your toes in the sand or walking along the water = my favorite thing ever.

6.  Art days.  Every once in a while I feel motivated to do something creative.  Whether it's one of my paintings, a drawing, or scrapbooking; I always feel so great after a good artsy day.

7.  Being outside.  I'm definitely an outdoorsy girl.  I love parks, hiking, rockclimbing, riding quads, biking, etc.  I get really bad cabin fever if I'm stuck indoors too long.

8.  Musical theater.  Yeahhhh....I'm a big theater dork.  A good chunk of songs on my computer are show tunes.  I actually have a degree in technical theater.  I used to paint the sets and backdrops.  It's something that I would love to get back into one day.  I love watching the shows but I am not the performing type.

9.  Romantic comedies. #sorrynotsorry  I'm not a very girly girl but I really do love my fair share of romantic comedies.  I own so many of them and watch them over and over.  I probably watch Pride & Prejudice once a month.  #noshame

10.  Shopping.  I guess that's a little obvious....  It's the best therapy there is!

1.  People with nasty attitudes.  I can't stand people that go out of their way just to be rude or nasty to someone else.  It drives me nuts.

2.  Being late!  It totally stresses me out!  I'm one of those people that think being 15 minutes early is on time. lol!  I don't like being rushed.  My husband is the complete opposite.  He's late for everything.

3.  Doing the dishes.  I will do any other chore in the house but I can't stand doing dishes.  I think it's because that was my chore when I was a kid so I just grew up to hate it.  I really need a dishwasher

4.  Feet.  They seriously gross me out!  My friends used to tease me about my foot-phobia and try to touch me with their feet or put them near me. Yuuuuck!

5.  Closed in spaces.  I avoid elevators as much as I can.  My college friends thought for years that I was just being health conscious and getting my exercise when I took the stairs but I just can't stand being crushed in an elevator with a bunch of people.  It feels like someone has sucked all of the air out of my lungs and there is an elephant on my chest.  I also start sweating like crazy. lol!

6.  Any kind of bug in the house.  I know it doesn't make any sense but if I see a bug outside, it doesn't bother me at all, but as soon as I see it in my house the creep factor goes through the roof.  I guess it's because it's supposed to be my comfort/safe zone. lol!

7.  Creaky floors.  Anywhere you walk in my house the floor creaks.  This wouldn't be such a problem if my daughter wasn't such a light sleeper.  Everything wakes her up.  She gets that from me.

8.  Mayo.  I actually gagged while typing that.  I can't stand it.  It's even worse when people try to sneak it into food and think I won't me, I will.  And I won't be happy.

9.  When people interrupt/talk over me.  Come on, that's just rude!  I don't want to have to repeat myself a bunch of times just because you have diarrhea mouth.  Hold it together!

I didn't officially nominate anyone but if you do one of these posts I would LOVE to read it.  Leave a comment below letting me know about it so I can check it out!

  1. I also hate being late so I'm always early whenever I'm going places! However, Alex is very much like your husband so whenever we are going somewhere together we are usually late which is stressful for me lol. I'm guilty of liking romantic comedies too, and The Bachelor/Bachelorette is my guilty pleasure! I absolutely love those shows no matter how much people make fun of them :)

  2. I am willing to send you some sun if you send me your rain, I'd kill for a rainy day about now! I'm with you on food but recently I've had to maintain a special diet, searching for snacks with no sugar and no flour is hard! Of course I love the beach too, you should find a way to live at one some day. You'll never regret it!

The dishes are the worst chore in the whole house!

  3. I love food and shopping too! Being late also stresses me out! I always leave super early so it never happens :D

  4. Ooh this is fun, I'm going to do it too! I love arty days too, it's a good way to relax.

  5. Must be a JULIE thing (AGAIN! LOL!!!) ... HATE -- 2, 6 and 8 ... TOTALLY ME!!!!!!!!!!!! :) And I USED to layout in the SUN all the time ... take it from experience my friend ... not a good thing ... only 43 ... and I have wrinkles and freckles on my hands and arms that SHOULD NOT be there at my age! LOL!! Seriously ... if I could go back in time and change my ways! LOL!!

  6. Hahaha! Some of these made me LOL! I have a coworker who also has a big hatred against mayo. One day another coworker put a big glob of mayo right in front of his keyboard and he refused to go within 10 feet of his desk until it was gone! Ha. So funny! Loved reading these tidbits! 7. Love your list!! I can't stand it when people interrupt me, either. And yes to laying out, and eating up all this time with your baby girl.

  8. Such a great list! I love the beach too, the waves are so relaxing and the people watching is fantastic

  9. I love these pictures and this post!

  10. Oh I agree with so many of your love list - especially the shopping one haha! I think sitting in the sun at the beach is bliss. Although you can't do it for very long here (or I can't anyway!) as it burns like crazy.

  11. hahaha what girl doesn't love shopping?! lol! I hated it when I was younger but now I love it. I can't wait to go to the beach for a day or two next month!

  12. I just started watching a couple new shows on Netflix. I started Once Upon a Time recently. I am terrible with junk food. I would probably eat it all day if I could. lol! I am definitely looking forward to a day or two at the beach next month.

  13. Yes, definitely! I love people watching...for some reason it's calming. lol!

  14. It get so frustrating with my family and group of friends because they are all talkers...some of them VERY loud talkers, and they get very excited and talk over me all the time. makes me instantly grumpy lol

  15. Uggghhh that is probably how I would have handled it too. So gross! lol!

  16. hahaha I think we are seriously the same person! lol! I already have so many wrinkles around my eyes but I've had those since I was a kid so I knew they would get worse anyway. haha

  17. Can't wait to read yours! Artsy days are the best!

  18. Yeah, I leave insanely early for everything because I can't stand being late...or even on time. Iol! I like being early so I don't have to rush around

  19. haha I would very happily take some of your sunny days in exchange for our rain. It's been a pretty dreary summer. I would love to live near a beach one day. My husband and I have been talking about moving so who knows! lol

  20. haha I don't think I've ever actually watched any episodes of The Bachelor/Bachelorette. I'm not a huge reality tv person but a few of my friends are obsessed! lol. My husband has been better about trying to get my places on time...but it doesn't always work out that way. haha
