I was so happy that my husband and I got a little bit of free time for ourselves to go out and celebrate Valentine's Day. We ended up going out on Friday instead of Saturday, which was probably better because we beat the crowds.
He took me out to Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then took me shopping at Express afterwards! What girl doesn't want a mini shopping spree for Valentine's Day?! He also bought me roses, chocolate and got me a beautiful necklace and earrings from Kay Jewelers. So basically I'm spoiled! He must really like me or somethin!
I also curled my hair for once! Well, I tried! My hair doesn't really do much other than lay there, so no matter how much hairspray I put in it, it never holds the curl.
I bought this beautiful dress from a thrift shop for only $4! Can you believe it?! It was brand new and is from White House Black Market. I actually also thrifted this red peacoat at the end of last winter. I don't wear it too often because it isn't very thick.
Oh, and of course I had to include a picture of me looking like I'm freezing my butt off (because I REALLY was!)...haha!
Here are the beautiful roses and jewelry my hubby bought me, and on the right is Paige's Valentine to her daddy <3 It's now hanging on our living room wall. I can't believe she's going to be two on Thursday! Time needs to slow down!
What did you do for Valentine's Day?

Sounds like a fab day! You look so lovely and the jewellery is pretty. We had a quiet day, just the two of us, it was really nice.
ReplyDelete$4? No way! And your man really did treat you right! A shopping spree is my kind of night :) And your hair looks like it held curl to me. I like it!!
ReplyDeleteI know, it was such a steal!! My hair only stayed curly for a couple hours. By the time we were done eating dinner it had lost just about all of it's curl. haha! Oh well, I tried! But thank you!
ReplyDeleteIt was a really great day. I love having nights out every once in a while. We only get a couple of hours but it's still nice. Nice quiet days are great too! We had one of those over the weekend too. We were all just laying around under blankets and cuddling. lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty, perfect Valetines date outfit! You look lovely! And your Cheesecake Factory + Express date sounds perfect! Can't wait to see what you got! :)

ReplyDeleteIt was definitely a really great night out. He really is the best! He even dropped me off at the restaraunt and at the store to park the car so I wouldn't have to walk in the cold. AND I forgot to mention he brought me hot chocolate when he showed up at the store with me. haha! Hope you have a great week as well!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Gina! It was such a great night out. I really made out with the deals at Express! I couldn't believe it!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful! That dress is amazing, I'm totally jealous of your thrift shop find. I'm glad to hear you had a great Valentine's day! Your hair looks cute too! ReplyDeleteYour husband is the sweetest! Dinner AND a shopping trip?? Score! You look absolutely beautiful Julie! I LURVE your polka dot dress. It's funny, I have a very similar dress I just thrifted (the one with mesh to show off the girls, haha) and I paired it with my red coat for our anniversary last month. I wasn't brave enough to not wear tights though! In all seriousness, you look so lovely. I'm glad you had such a nice time :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! haha We have developed a habit of wearing almost the same outfits as each other! haha! That's so funny! Great minds think alike ;-) I love that mesh dress that you found! It's so cute! And looks amazing on you!
