What better time to try out hydrating facial products than in the middle of winter when my skin is begging for some moisture?! I have to admit I was pretty excited to try out these products.
Let me start by telling you a little bit about the company because I think what they have done is pretty amazing. The Lindi Skin Care brand was created by Lindy Snider in 2003 as a skincare line specifically geared towards patients undergoing cancer treatment. When you are undergoing radiation and chemotherapy your skin becomes very dry and itchy and you can develop rashes or even wounds. Lindy Snider had personally witness her loved ones struggling with this and decided she wanted to do something to change that for them, and make them a little more comfortable; and with the help of the eleven person Lindi Skin Advisory Board (made up of oncologists and dermatologists) Lindi Skin was born.
Although her products were originally produced with the idea to help cancer patients get relief it is still suitable for anyone's daily use.
I have seen many of my own family members and loved ones suffer through cancer treatments so this skin product line is something I can definitely appreciate.
Now let me tell you a little bit about the products I received:
(descriptions taken from Lindi Skin website)
A gentle cleanser that washes without stripping your face
My opinion: At first I was honestly a little unsure about this cleanser because I've never used anything that didn't lather or foam. I just wasn't used to it! But I will admit that it won me over pretty quickly. My face felt clean, but not dried out like my other face washes. I didn't have that "tight" feeling on my face.
My opinion: I had a face serum that I was using prior to this one, and this one blew it right out of the water. Honestly! The citrus scent smells almost like candy to me, and it goes on like silk. It's so soft. The first time I put it on, I thought it was going to be greasy because it was thicker than the other one I have been using but after it dries it leaves nothing but your soft skin. They also have a lavender scent that I would love to try for night time because lavender scent helps me sleep.
Designed to soothe dryness in the sensitive area around the eyes, this nutrient-rich gel also helps to reduce the appearance of puffiness and improve skin tone.
My opinion: I didn't actually notice too much of a difference with the eye hydrator. Although, my eyes have never been my dry area so maybe that's why. This one felt kind of like a mix of a gel and vaseline when you applied it and I felt like it took a while longer for it to soak in/dry.
Weather conditions can be harsh on your lips, so tuck a tub of lip balm into your pocket or purse so you’re prepared.
Overall, I really liked the products a lot and may even be buying that Lindi Lavender Face Serum! I bet that smells amazing!
They also sell great gift sets if you know someone that would really love their product or that really needs it. And Lindi Skin is offering all of my lovely readers 25% off all products and FREE shipping right now with the code: BLOG25, so if there's something you would like to try, now is the time! The code is valid through May 31st. Lindi Skin will also make a donation to the American Cancer Society's "Look Good, Feel Good" program for every purchase through this date.
**I was given Lindi Skin products for review thanks to LiptonPublicity, but all opinions are my own**
Will have to check them out! Thanks for the great review!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story! Sounds like an amazing brand with great products. I definitely used to think that if something didn't lather or foam then it wasn't cleaning properly, but I've learned that is wrong haha The face serum sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteLindi sounds like an amazing company! I am really curious to try their face serum. Thanks for the great reviews!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I had a lot of fun trying out there products. I was a little nervous to post my non-makeuped face out here but I figured it was worth it, so you could see how smooth and non-greasy it is
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a big fan of their face serum. I am probably going to be buying the lavender to use at night. I had never used a facial cleanser that didn't foam or lather, lol! It was different but nice that I didn't get that tight itchy feeling afterwards
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Julie! You will not be disappointed!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of them but I love that they were originally created to help cancer patients!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that they sent me a print out so I could learn more about their company otherwise I may not have known either, but I think it's so great that I had to share. I had never heard of them before either but I'm glad I got a chance to try it out.
ReplyDeleteSuch an informative post... you're awesome, girl! And how cool that they started with cancer patients in mind - such a unique approach.
ReplyDeleteYour skin looks amazing! You should be proud to show it off without makeup!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you so much <3 <3 You are seriously the sweetest person ever!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Claire!! I loved the story about how she started her company so I wanted to make sure to share it. Being someone that has watched family suffer with things like this, I was so happy to promote it.

ReplyDeletevery nice post, lovely!!
ReplyDeleteThese products sound awesome! I love hearing about new stuff that others are trying out. The serum sounds like something that I'd really like because I'm very much into serums lately, they are a great addition to any skincare routine for sure!
ReplyDeleteI have been in process of reviewing these products. Girl, I am In Love with how they make my skin feel! Amazing! Great post, Julie!
ReplyDeleteI'm reviewing the same products right now too! This is the skin care goodies I mentioned in my post today. I've used each product twice and I need more time to review them before I can decide for sure if I'd repurchase. The eye serum is my favorite part. It just feels so nice going on. The face serum worried me at first too! My skin is soooo dry, even moisturizing with a thick cream twice a day, it's still peeling. This serum was amazing the first time I used it. Then last night I noticed my face was still dry and flaky so I used more. This morning it's dry again but I'll probably keep using the cream I have and save the serum for night time when I wash my face (which I only do every other day to help with dryness). I agree on the lip balm too. It's nice but I don't usually like lip pots since they're not as convenient. It smells amazing though!
ReplyDeleteWow, these all look amazing! I really wanted to try this out!
