Hi everyone!! This is my first day linking up for the Blogtober Challenge over at Helene In Between and I am super excited to meet a ton of new bloggers and learn some new things about bloggers that I've followed for quite a while. Basically they give you a topic for every day of the month in October and you link up and visit everyone's blogs to check out what they said. Today's blog prompt is: What was your Dream Job when you were little/ What is it now?
When I was little I wanted to do so many different things... I swear it changed every single year! Until I found my love for drawing. Then I decided that one day I was going to work for Disney and I would help create all of their movies that I loved so much. I filled sketchpad after sketchpad with Disney princesses, dragons, castles, etc. I still find myself doodling princesses as I'm trying to come up with a new painting idea...
Nowadays, even tho the little kid in me still has those Disney dreams, I am a little more grounded. Just a little bit. I would love to be able to open a cute little art/craft shop and sell my art and have different classes. I've even had actual dreams about it! I'm sitting in my shop surrounded by fun crafty things, showing a bunch of people how to start a scrapbook. Doesn't that sound amazing?!?! haha maybe not?
But until any of those amazing dreams come true I would be perfectly content as an administrative office assistant in a health or university setting. To some people it sounds a little boring I guess. But I'm super OCD and loved creating charts for inventory, decorating bulletin boards, etc. Heck even a part of me actually enjoyed folding the patient bills and stuffing them in envelopes. haha! I'm a weirdo like that!
How about you? What is/was your dream?

What a great dream!! I have an office job and OCD also ... so I can totally relate!!! I always wanted to be a writer! I would SUCK at it -- but hey, that's what dreams are for!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid I wanted to be the cell painters that painted all of the pictures for Disney--then everything went digital and that dream went out the window! I still think it would be amazing to work for Disney--I hope one day you get to--your artwork is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!! YOu are soooo talented lady! I agree, working for Disney would be amazing. So cool you like charts and organizing, that is not my strength at all, so cheers for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! You are so sweet!
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY! That's around the time my dream died too. So now I have a love/hate relationship with Dreamworks and Pixar. lol! And thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
ReplyDeletehahaha exactly! It doesn't matter if you are bad at it...it's still a dream!
ReplyDeleteyour artwork is AMAZING!!! I live near Pittsburgh too!!! Where are you located? new follower :)
ReplyDeleteNo way!! I love meeting other people from the 'Burgh! haha! I'm about 40 minutes south of Pittsburgh. How about you? Following you back! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhich would bring us back to yesterdays post! hehe
ReplyDeletei'd def stop by for coffee & your bakes goods ones you've opened. ;)
WOAH GIRL! You should totally still try to work for Disney. Such an awesome company. I would definitely support a shop! I think it's everyone's dream to work for themselves.
ReplyDeletehaha true!! Aww well, I will definitely put you on the guest list for when I get my own shop! haha
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! And I think you are right! It would be great to not have to answer to anyone
ReplyDeleteOk, I still think you should be at least passively pursuing being a Disney artist! I'm sure there are hundreds if not thousands of jobs for those everyday. You sketches and paintings are AMAZING and I think you could totally do it. I think your art studio/classes would also be great! Just doing something with art, something that you love and are passionate about would make every morning exciting because it meant you were able to go to work instead of just HAVING to go. These are great dream jobs :)
ReplyDeleteAwww thanks Lauren! Maybe I will still try for Disney! The little kid in me would be thrilled if it ever happened! haha! If not, maybe I will be able to open my own little shop one day....after I hit the lotto!
ReplyDeletewow, those drawings are amazing! and i love seeing it!! and it's always a good thing to love what you do!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Luchessa!!! That's so sweet! It would definitely be really fun and rewarding. Maybe I can open a shop if I hit the lottery one day! lol!
ReplyDeleteThank you Helene!! I'm definitely going to try to post more of my art on my blog. I was a big slacker last month and didn't post any at all, so I'm going to change that!
