OUTFIT: Pastel tribal mini skirt

Hey everyone!  So you've probably noticed by now that I haven't been around as much as I usually am.  I was blogging 5 days a week and now I'm down to 3.  I think blogging 3 days a week is a much more attainable goal for me right now.  As you (probably) know, I've been suffering with migraines A LOT lately.  It's very frustrating when you have things you want to do and you can't get out of bed; so that's one of the reasons I've cut back a bit.  Too much computer time seems to bring them on.

Another reason I would like to cut back for the next few months is honestly because it's summer!  I want to enjoy that sunshine with my daughter as much as I can.  The winter felt like it was never going to end, so now that it finally has, I want to soak up all the outdoors time I can.

I also got rid of my sponsorship ads on my sidebar.  I will still be offering the free ad swaps to other bloggers willing to display my button on their site.  I just want to wait until I feel like I can give 100% of myself again and be able to offer more time.

I know I didn't really NEED to give you my excuses but I thought I would let you know what's been going on with me.... But anyway, onto the fun stuff!!  What I'm wearing:

My daughter actually picked this skirt out for me to wear.  I was a little unsure about it because my legs are sooo pasty, but if I never let them out they will stay pasty! lol!  Maybe while I'm on vacation later this week I will be able to get a little bit of sun.  The hotel we are staying at has a pool!  Woohoo!  It's the little things...

I'm still REALLY nervous about leaving Paige for the first time over night (even thought I know she is going to be fine) but I am definitely getting really excited now!  I can't wait to spend some non-interrupted time with my husband.  It feels like we are always running around doing something or chasing Paige, so it will be a nice change to go at a more relaxed pace and hold an uninterrupted conversation! lol

  2. I love the colors in that skirt. It looks great on you!! And good for you for cutting back when you need to. I hate that you're still suffering from the migraines. I had my first migraine-ish experience last week and it was awful.

  3. Thanks girl! The migraines are driving me crazy! I can't stand feeling so helpless. I have so many things that I need to be doing (including watching a very energetic 2 year old) that I can't keep up with because of them. I've noticed you cut back a bit yourself, was it because of the migraines too?

  5. Totally understand your need to cut back on blogging!! Three days works best for me too and I'm not even a migraine sufferer, just a mom who doesn't want to be glued to the computer ALL the time. Very cute spring outfit and I hope you enjoy your vacation!

  7. I think blogging 3 times a week is more than enough. I don't know how you managed to blog 5 times a week! I understand your frustration with suffering from migraines. I have them too. Love this tribal print skirt! It fits you perfectly. Love it that you paired it with a neutral top so the skirt is the centerpiece.

  10. It's good not to stress yourself and to still let blogging be fun so I'm sure 3 times a week will help. Your daughter picked a great skirt!

  11. I can appreciate you wanting more time to enjoy life! I didn't post anything this past Friday for that reason. I was beat down and realized that the post wasn't worth my sanity! But anyway - I love this skirt on you. The pattern and color and fit are all perfect! Carylee | more pieces of me

  12. I know what you mean, I feel like I get so much more "me" time when I step away some days and I enjoy life more, that's for sure. I really enjoy blogging and talking to everyone I've met through blogging but it has been really nice cutting back on my computer time. And thank you so much!

  15. Yeah, I would definitely like to be enjoying all of this beautiful weather we have been having lately. Yesterday I ended up with another almost migraine...so frustrating!

  16. I had so much stuff that I wanted to talk about that it wasn't too bad blogging 5 times a week but it got to hard to network and linkup while catching up with everyone else's posts. I think that's most of what made it so hard, not so much the actual content. I am really enjoying this 3 day a week schedule though. I feel like it opened up so much time for me

  17. hahaha go figure! It is really hard to keep posting every day, but you can do it, I know it!! I did a few of those challenges at the end of last year and it was TOUGH! lol These migraines have really been rough. I hope I can find something that helps. And thanks so much, only 2 more days until vacation!! Eeeek!

  29. I hate hearing you are still suffering with your migraines. I know how truly terrible it is, so I always feel awful when I know someone else is going through it. I am on a medicine for fertility issues that is messing with my hormones and affecting mine. It's been really tough. I hope you can find something medicine that works for you. It's hard to find the will to continue to work on it when you don't feel well. Glad you have gone to three days a week blogging. That's what I do and I cannot imagine 5. I love the skirt on you. You have a great body for a mini!

  30. That is such a cute skirt! I am just enjoying life right now and not worrying about capturing everything I do. If I get a photo, then great! If I don't, at least I have the memories :) One of the reasons why I stopped sponsorships on my blog was because I knew I wasn't giving it 100% of my time. Having sponsors really put stress on my shoulders. It's fun now when you don't have to worry about stats and things like that. :)
