So sick of snow!

Well, we got more snow over the weekend....yay...  Okay, I know that you can't tell sarcasm very well through "type speak" but trust me,  I was definitely being sarcastic.  I am really sick of seeing snow already!  I'm ready for sunshine, bright flowers, and flip flops!  I'll even take those annoying birds chirping outside my window in the spring over this.  I know, I'm a big old whiner.  This winter took forever to come around but when it did, it DID!

Yep, that last picture is me freezing my butt off while my husband laughed hysterically and snapped pictures.  He loves me...

I think my daughter and I might be catching a winter cold too..yuck!  BUT I will take a cold over those migraines any day.  You guys, it has been over 3 weeks since my last really big migraine!  I can't believe it!  I had one minor migraine that lasted a couple hours but it wasn't bad enough that I couldn't function.  I am SO grateful to be pain free for the first time in months.  Thank you so much to everyone that has kept me in their thoughts and prayers.  I appreciate it more than you know <3

Did you get hit by the snow storm?

  3. Last night we stayed in and I drank a bunch of tea and snuggled up under blankets so I'm feeling better today. My throat is just a little dry.

  8. That is great news about the migraines...NOT great news about the snow. You are a trooper to step outside for pictures in this, but your outfit is so cute! Love that sweater and that is an awesome necklace!

  9. I am so happy to hear about your migraines. I can only imagine how good it feels to have your regular life back! We finally got hit by the snow too. Today we have a snow warning and a rain warning, so it sounds like it's going to be a real mess. You look great! I'm all about cozy sweaters right now!

  10. I'm so glad you are feeling better and not getting migraines anymore! We got about 14 inches of snow and it was so windy I can't even get out of my front door. Your booties are so cute! Love this outfit!

  11. You are so pretty Julie! Love the color of those booties and how well they go with your sweater. I have a similar sweater and usually pair it with black. I need to try this combo! I bet you are tired of the cold. Try to stay warm and keep that cold at bay.

  14. Thanks so much! I think I miss the sunshine of Spring the most. It just seems so dark and dreary in the Winter.

  15. Grass is greener on the other side of the fence that's what they say. I wish I could have a bit of snow instead! Stay warm, and stay cute and stylish!

  16. That's so true! I would love to live somewhere warmer but my daughter and husband are so fair skinned that I don't think their skin could handle it. They both burn so easily

  17. I need a burgundy sweater. Yours is simple and classic which makes it versatile and looks great with camel. Love that necklace also, Kym. =)

P.S. I am glad the migraines are much better now. I feel your pain since I suffer from them as well. =(

  18. I absolutely hate snow, so I don't blame you at all for being sick and tired of it! We got lots this weekend too, and I had a super fun morning cleaning off the driveway and my car. I cannot wait for summer (or at least spring) so that I can finally wear cute outfits and normal footwear.

I'm glad that you're feeling better and that you haven't been getting any more migraines! It's good to feel good :)

  19. Thank you so much! It has definitely been wonderful to feel like myself again instead of the miserable zombie I was for so long. We had that same forecast yesterday but it ended up not being as bad as they said so I will cross my fingers for you! I live in my cozy sweaters all winter long. lol!

  20. Thanks Gina! Luckily the big part of the storm must have missed us yesterday. They were calling for 8 inches and we probably only got 3 and then lots of rain...which melted a good bit of it.

  23. Thank you so much! We didn't get that much snow, I'm just a big baby. They called for up to 8 inches and we probably only got 3 and a lot of rain, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. Stay warm!! <3

  27. You mean you don't love the snow? How silly! I laughed at the last picture with your hands clenched from the cold. I might wear a single sweater but know that I also wear a fleece over that under my main coat. And don't forget the scarf and gloves haha. The color of your sweater is so beautiful! Perfect for winter.

  28. The snow does make a great background for my blog photos but I just wish it wasn't SO cold. lol! It's in the teens outside right now but with wind chill feel more like 5 degrees. Yuck! And you are so right about the skirts! I just ordered a bunch of pairs of fleece-lined leggings to get me through the winter. haha!

  30. Beautiful sweater! I love the necklace too! I cannot believe you stood outside in the cold and got your picture taken. Crazy woman!! Kudos though. Seriously. I'd be hiding inside trying to take well lit pictures. We're currently getting bombarded with snow AGAIN, and they're saying more on Wednesday. Sigh. Off to go shovel.

  39. Thanks so much! I'm a pretty tall girl as it is, so that's probably why I don't wear this boots as often as I should. I always feel too tall in high heels. lol.

    ReplyDelete
  40. hahaha! Uggh I can't stand the snow and cold weather! If I was smart I would have had a thermal or fleece under that sweater for the pictures but I just figured, do it quick and then run back inside under the blanket. haha!!

  41. Haha the snow is so pretty though!! I love your winter look! I'm sure it's annoying being cold all the time though. I have been there.

  42. Nothing wrong with being tall. I've quit trying to find the "ideal" me and starting taking pride in my body image a few years ago and it was SO liberating; I often encourage other women to take pride too... so take pride in your tallness. It's a wonderful attribute for you!

    ReplyDelete
  43. It is really frustrating being so cold all the time, but you are right. It does look really pretty on the trees and everything.

    ReplyDelete
  44. So first of all, i really like these booties ( i think i might even own something very similar, just with a longer leg) and second of all: send the snow over, i'm still waiting for it here. We haven't had any real snow this winter. Sure it did snow a bit, but was gone by the next morning...:S

I still didn't catch that cold but now it's only a matter of time, because my daughter woke up with a runny nose and sounding congested. Booo!! And thanks girl!!
