Vicks Mini Filter Free Cool Mist Humidifier: Review

Every year when winter rolls around and it brings the horrible dry air, my husband gets terrible nosebleeds.  There are times when he will get four or five of them in one day!  I feel so horrible for him.  That's why I was so excited to review the  Vicks Mini FilterFree Cool Mist Humidifer froInfluenster.  I've actually been moving it back and forth from my daughter's room to our's.  I may have to run out and buy another one!

This humidifier is much smaller than other humidifiers that I've seen in stores, but even more effective.  It has a small and sleek design, unlike the big bulky one we used to have.  I had absolutely no trouble setting it up with the easy to read and simple directions. It also has cool mist so I don't have to worry about little finger's being burned, and has a small light on it that is perfect as a nightlight for my daughter's room.

I loved that they included the Vicks scent pads.  It's such a great idea for when you have a cold to help open up your breathing passages.  I am saving it for when one of us gets really sick and needs it, but I know it will come in handy!  I've used the Baby Vicks vapo rub on the bottoms of my daughter's feet when she had been congested before, and it worked wonders!

I have to say that I am very pleased with this product so far.  My husband hasn't had a nosebleed since we've been using it, and I've noticed that my throat and nose don't feel as dry and scratchy as normal.  Thank you so much to Influenster for letting me try out this product.

Ohhhhhhhh I love the size of it!! Brookie is always sick (asthma and all that comes with it!) and we always seem to have a humidifier around!

  2. It is a nice little size, and I was so surprised with how quiet it was! The last humidifier we had was huge and I had having to carry it around while it was full because it was sort of heavy. This one definitely makes that a lot easier.

  4. I've been feeling SO dry at night! I have a humidifier, but I think it's past the point of cleaning. I like the size of this one, though! It looks like it doesn't take up much space, and is effective. Thanks for sharing!

  7. I wanted to buy one of these because my husband has had a nose congestion for awhile. I ended up leaving it because he said "Don't spend the money" but... Idk, I might just get it for him!! I know I have a hard time sleeping with a stuffy nose!

  9. I also think it helps a lot with my dry winter skin. I always have the worst "lizard skin" in the winter. LOL

  10. Oh yeah, I definitely can't sleep if I can't breathe out of my nose. I am not a mouth breather at all. My husband is the same way, "don't spend money on me" lol

  13. Yeah, this one is nice and small, not like the big ugly one we had before. And I feel your pain. The air in our house has been so dry. My skin has been getting super dry and every morning I was waking up with a super dry throat and nose. Pretty miserable! Is it summer yet?? lol

  15. We had to invest in a humidifier too! My bf used to get bloody noses everyday before we got it. Just make sure to get some BacterioStat to help mildew and mold from forming inside it!
