BLOGTOBER | My pet peeves

When people talk over me or cut through what I'm saying.  I shouldn't have to continually repeat what I'm saying because you can't contain yourself. LOL!  So annoying!

The whole curvy girl vs. thin girl battle that's happening now.  I'm so sick of seeing memes all over Facebook about how curvy girls are better or about thigh gap.  Seriously?!  Who cares!  Everyone is their worst critic and will always think they have a ton of flaws, but we just need to be happy with how we are.  Skinny, curvy, whatever!  It doesn't matter!  If you aren't beautiful on the inside then none of it matters anyway.

People who cut in line.  Seriously, I waited in this line, what makes them feel like they are so special that they get to skip to the front?!

When people think it's okay to ask "When are you and your husband going to start trying for your second kid?".  Since when is it appropriate for you to ask if my husband and I are having sex or not.  I don't think that's any of your business.

When people try to tickle me.  It's not cute.  I will probably end up breaking your nose if you try.  I don't really like being touched by people I don't know, thanks!

Open-toed booties.  I just don't get it.  If it's too cold to wear flip flops then why would I want my toes hanging out of my boots?  I wear boots because they are warmer and I can wear my comfy fuzzy socks with no one knowing. lol

Do any of these things get under your skin?  What are some of your pet peeves?

  1. Slow walkers that take up all the space on the sidewalk so that you can't get around them. Drives me nuts! x

  2. its like when you're engaged....when is the wedding then when are you having a kid then when are you having more! I want to say shut it!!!

I never understood the whole open toed booty thing

  3. People that don't use cross walks - if you get hit -- you were asking for it
Speeders - go ahead -- get to the red light before me - if that makes you feel better
People that trash stores they shop in -- the store keepers are NOT your maids

  4. YES!!! to all of these! So annoying! I worked retail for a very long time so I always make sure to put things back and fold everything the way it was before I picked something up. lol!

  5. Ohhh me too! haha! I try to be nice about it but what I really want to say is something along the lines of shut it! haha!

And YES, thank you!! I just don't get the open toed bootie craze. So weird!

  6. Or when they completely stop walking and you almost run into them...and then of course you can't get around them either. uggghhh....so frustrating!!

  7. Who still cuts in line!??! So ruuuuuude!

I agree curvy vs thin battle is ridiculous!

  8. The second one is so annoying - like you said we all have flaws that we think about ourselves so why does it have to be splashed everywhere!?

  9. I am not skinny - I could lose eight or nine extra pounds - but I hate bullying against skinny people. Having curves does not make a woman more "real". Bitches come in all shapes and sizes.
Being talked over pisses me off, especially when I am trying to answer a question that the person asked me. You wanted this information - shut up while I give it to you.

  10. Yes, thank you!! I don't know why people always have to beat each other down in order to feel better about themselves.

haha and YES!! That is exactly how I feel anytime someone does that to me

  11. I think the only time it really bothers me is when I REALLY have to go. lol!

And yes, I think the weird weight battle is super annoying.

  12. I agree with the whole skinny vs fat thing. I think that both sizes are bullied. I've always been small since I was younger so It's genetic for me and I hate when people get upset at me for being able to eat different things. Plus just because your skinny doesn't mean you're in shape or healthy. So that's a personal struggle of mine

  13. The curvy girl vs skinny girl deal annoys me too! I think everyone should feel beautiful no matter their size or shape. The whole "real men like curves, dogs like bones" is totally unfair to women who aren't particularly curvy.

  14. Open toed booties- I don't understand at all! Isn't the whole point of boots to keep your feet warm? Also, I don't think they look cute, they kind of look ridiculous!

  15. Exactly!! I once had someone yell at me because I told them I wanted to start going to the gym! Just because I am thin does not mean that I am in shape at all. I wasn't going to try to lose weight...quite the opposite actually. I want to go to try to tone up some areas and muscle weight actually weighs more!

  16. I completely agree! And that is the exact quote that makes my blood boil. I've never bullied anyone that was overweight in my entire life, so wouldn't they do the same for me in return?! I've always been thin and I was actually bullied in high school for being thin. No matter what I eat it doesn't "stick".

  17. hahaha Agree 100%!! I seriously don't get it!

  18. so so many of these things bother me! i get all kinds of crazy when people cut in line! in my mind of course i rarely have the lady balls to actually tell them to back it up. and the kids thing? oh how that bothers me. i could have written an entire post about fertility pet peeves because it drives me THAT crazy.

  19. BWAHAHAHA! Open toed booties. I know I have pet peeves but I never can think of them when I need to. usually they relate to traffic or difficult patients at work. lol.

  20. I love these. I agree who cares about a thigh gap. Also, please ask us all the time when we want to start a family--it drives me crazy lol

  21. I agree with almost all of these LOL I actually like open toe booties..but they have to be weather appropriate. If it's 2o degrees outside, then it's a great big NO NO but very nice for the fall. I can relate to the "when are you going to have kids" question, I"m single and I still get it. I mean geez can I get married first? I love this list :)

  22. Yes, exactly! My husband and I had A LOT of problems getting pregnant and actually lost one before, so I feel like it's an extremely insensitive question to ask too. Maybe I'm just being too sensitive...lol

    ReplyDelete
  23. hahaha I just don't get it! They look cute sometimes but they just don't make sense to me. lol

    ReplyDelete
  24. Right? I never even heard of "thigh gap" until a couple months ago. Like what the heck?! haha! People are crazy!

    ReplyDelete
  25. haha sometimes they can look really cute but I'm a super sissy when it comes to cold weather so maybe that's why I don't get them. lol!

  26. "If you aren't beautiful on the inside then none of it matters anyway" - this might be the best sentence I've read in some time! People who ask about family plans get right on my nerves, sometimes it's tempting to tell them about our IVF failures just to give them a shock.

  27. I'm feeling you, girl- especially about people who cut in line. Like EXCUSE MEEEE, where are your manners!

Funny post; made me smile! :)

  28. Thank you! Yeah, I hear you on the nosy family members. They don't realize how difficult it was for us, I guess. We had a lot of problems too

  29. Thank you! I'm glad I could make you smile! You always seem to get the line cutters when you are waiting in line for the bathroom and your bladder is about to burst!! lol!

  32. Oh yeah, the curvy girl vs thin girl battle is over the top. Like why is everyone trying to supplant their ideals on others? I can't think of many pet peeves right now but I know I am always annoyed at understaffed grocery stores. As in the whole store is busy, and only 1 cashier. I know it's rarely that person's fault, but it is so annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  33. oh man, I agree!! I can't stand when I go into Wal Mart and there are probably 2 dozen registers but they only have two cashiers working, seriously?? Why? lol
